Mr. Mohammad Asad Ullah FCS has been elected as President of Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh(ICSB) in its 86thCouncil Meeting held on 10 October 2022 unanimously who got the highest votes of Members amongst the 30 candidates in its election held on 1 October 2022. It is the fifth term (2022-2025) that he elected as President of the ICSB. Previously, he was President for fourterms: 2006-2007, 2008-2009, 2009-2010 and 2013-2016.
Mr. Mohammad Asad Ullah FCS has been serving as Executive Director-Corporate Affairs and Group Company Secretary of Beximco Group since 1998. Earlier he worked in various responsible high positions of the Group since 1985. He did his Graduation and professional degree in Law (LL.B.) from the University of Dhaka. He obtained LL.M. degree and also MBA major in HRM.
He served as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM) and an active Member of a number of renowned professional and social organizations of the country.
The Council of the Institute, at the same meeting also elected Mr. M Nurul Alam FCS as the Senior Vice President. Prior to this new assignment, he was the Council Member of ICSB for the term 2013-2016 and 2019-2022. Mr. Alam is working as the Chief Corporate and External Affairs Officer of Nagad Limited.
Mr. A. K. M.Mushfiqur Rahman FCS has been elected as the Vice President of the Institute. Prior to this new assignment, he was the Council Member of ICSB for the term 2011-2013 and 2016-2019. Mr. Rahman is working as the Director ofSuraiyaParveen& Associates. The Council has also appointed Mr. Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun FCS as the Treasurer of the Institute. Mr. Mamun is working as theCompany Secretary of Eastern Bank Limited (EBL).
